BDG McCOLL RESPONSIBLE FOR SPACE PLANNING CITY OF EDINBURGH’S NEW HEADQUARTERS, AS WELL AS REVAMP AND REORGANISATION OF SPACE WITHIN CITY CHAMBERS AND CHESSER HOUSE

BDG McColl was appointed in February 2006 to provide space planning services for the City of Edinburgh’s key administration buildings, including the new Headquarters, City Chambers, and Chesser House, these buildings accommodating over three thousand staff.

BDG McColl undertook a series of workshops across the Council to establish a strategy for the City campus, from which detailed space plans were created for each of the buildings in the complex. Key to this was developing a programme of implementation and relocations to permit staff to vacate properties as leases expired.
