BATHGATE

Quintiles’ building is an example of BDG McColl’s work in the pharmaceutical sector. The 15,000 square metre building provides not only flexible open plan office space, but also a high quality clean environment for the packaging and storage of medicines. The building is located in a landscape setting, masterplanned to permit each functional element of the building to expand independently to meet growth demands of the business. Typically in a building of this type, the mechanical and electrical services are significant, but have been accommodated within the building shell to permit easy access, maintenance, and alteration, making a flexible and adaptable chassis in which Quintiles can carry out their business.

Quintiles has won the ‘Best Office Interior’ category in the Scottish Design Awards.
